BEIJING, March 11 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale jolted off the east coast of Japan's main Honshu island at 11:13 p.m. Beijing Time Friday, according to the China Earthquake Network Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was monitored at 36 degrees north latitude and 142 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
