杨婷“演而优则导”，用喜剧手法排演悬疑剧，让观众在笑声中轻松地跟着悬疑了一把，颇有孟京辉早期作品的味道。中国优秀喜剧导演杨婷近年备受瞩目之力作，喜剧黄金组合陈明昊、赵红薇、赵晓苏联手演绎，可谓英伦范儿的当代悬疑喜剧。

1888年的伦敦东区，出现了连环杀手“开膛手杰克”，生活拮据的助理探长为了升职加薪接下了这个烫手的悬疑案，扑朔迷离的案情让他无所适从，在一连串滑稽可笑的审讯背后，究竟隐藏着怎样的真相？“开膛手杰克”在一个凄风苦雨的冬夜前来自首……

Yang Ting, an exceptional actress-turned-director, uses comedic methods to create this thriller. The audience is easily able to follow the suspense in the midst of their laughter. This has the flavor of the early works of Meng Jinghui.

Much-acclaimed Chinese comedy director Yang Ting’s latest work features an impeccable ensemble consisting of Chen Minghao, Zhao Hongwei and Zhao Xiaosu. The play is a contemporary comedic thriller comparable to anything England has to offer.

In East London in 1888, there appears a serial killer nicknamed “Jack the Ripper.” An impoverished assistant detective takes on the case in the hopes of a promotion and a raise. However, the confusing case leaves him at a complete loss for answers. The truth remains hidden despite a series of comical interrogations. Then, on a dark and stormy winter’s night, “Jack the Ripper” comes to surrender…

Guangwen Jiayi Cultural Communication (Beijing) Co., Ltd. is a performance company devoted to the production of theater, as well as to the conception, design and production of large-scale artistic events. The company comprises a team of greatly talented and knowledgeable professionals. Within just two years of its formation, the company successfully launched the comedic thriller Jack the Ripper. The production was critically acclaimed by the media and professionals, and enthusiastically received by audiences when it premiered at Beijing’s Pioneer Theater in March of 2013. In the following months, the show ran three more times at the People’s Art Theater, Peking University and Pioneer Theater. The company has also developed significant word-of-mouth marketing through the planning and execution of numerous events for major domestic brands.

The company’s founder Ms. Yang Ting has received much attention in theatrical circles as one a rising stars among theater directors. A graduate of the Central Academy of Drama, she was highly praised for her classic comic style in the 1999 production of Rhinoceros in Love. Since then she has garnered a reputation for her skillful execution and flawless technique in performing Chinese comedies. In 2005 Yang began directing; her credits include The Well of the Saints, Che Guevara and Superstar. In 2011 Yang directed the romantic comedy The Bride, a box office success produced by Meng Jinghui.

杨婷是当今亚洲剧坛最为令人瞩目的集表导演才华于一身的实力派戏剧新星导演。独特的创造力、精湛的表演才华与扎实的戏剧美学理论基础使得杨婷在戏剧表演领域里获得了极大的成功。1999年，她在孟京辉《恋爱的犀牛》中创造了脍炙人口的中国当代喜剧经典形象“红红”并且为中国小剧场喜剧表演开创了一条崭新的道路；2007年，她在赖声川的《这一夜，Women说相声》中开创新局，以女人的立场说女人话题的相声；2009年，她在话剧《堂吉诃德》中将意大利喜剧表演、法国古典喜剧表演与东方喜剧表演深度融合，开创了全新的喜剧表演风格。

杨婷的戏剧表演代表作品还有：《他没有两个老婆》、《关于爱情归宿的最新观念》、《第一次亲密接触》、《臭虫》、《盗版浮士德》等。2005年，杨婷开始进行戏剧导演创作。她的首部导演作品是爱尔兰著名剧作家约翰·辛格的代表作《圣井》，该剧倾注了对严肃戏剧的不懈追求与对人类心灵的关注。之后，杨婷执导了话剧《切·格瓦拉》(女性版)，她以独特的女性视角表达了共产主义战士的精神世界。2007年，杨婷执导了根据百老汇经典名剧《借我一个男高音》改编的都市喜剧《大大大明星》。2011年，杨婷导演了由孟京辉监制的浪漫轻喜剧《新娘》，获得了专业人士的一致好评，并取得了场场爆满的票房成绩。

Director Yang Ting has received much attention in Asian theater circles as a talented rising star. Her unique creativity, superb acting talent and solid understanding of the foundations of theatrical aesthetics and theory have enabled her to achieve phenomenal success. In 1999, she forged a new path in contemporary Chinese comedic performance with her portrayal of “Hong Hong” in Ming Jinghui’s comedy Rhinoceros in Love. In 2007 Yang Ting started yet another trend when she performed in Stan Lai’s Total Woman, a cross-talk performance about women from the perspective of women. In 2009, her play Don Quixote established a new comedic performance style through the integration of classic elements of Italian, French, and Oriental comedic performance.

Yang Ting has also appeared in works including He Does Not Have Two Wives, Head without Tail, First Intimate Contact, Bed Bug and Fake Faust. In 2005, she began directing. Her directorial debut was renowned Irish playwright J.M. Synge’s The Well of the Saints, a play about the relentless pursuit of serious drama and the close attention paid to the human spirit. Yang then directed the female version of Che Guevara, in which she expressed the spiritual world of the Communist warrior from the unique viewpoint of women. In 2007 Yang directed the urban comedy Superstar, which was adapted from the classic Broadway show Lend Me a Tenor. In 2011 Yang directed the romantic comedy The Bride, produced by Meng Jinghui. The critically acclaimed play was a smash hit at the box office.
